1 cup Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans, Bengal Gram), Mature Seeds

Recipe Directions for Guggillu

  1. Boil one cup of chick peas (chana dal) in a pressure cooker or microwave until the peas are soft but still retain their shape.

  2. Pour some oil in a wok and add common south indian seasonings like asofetida, black mustard (avalu) and green chilis.

  3. Add a cup of chopped onions and stir fry.

  4. Mix in the boiled chana dal and add salt to taste.
