Very heart-healthy, but high in fat. Eat moderately, if like me, you need to loose weight. Avocados reduce cholesterol and the risk of atherosclerosis. They also have antioxidant ability and contain both vitamins E, C and B6, as well as potassium.

Recipe Ingredients for Guacamole

2 avocados
8 cherry tomatoes
1 large sweet onion
2 tbs lime juice
2 garlic clove

Recipe Directions for Guacamole

  1. Using a hand blender, combine the juice of 1 lime with the avocados.

  2. Dice the tomatoes, the onion, and the garlic. The smaller the better, but avoid using a food processor or a blender.

  3. Add the dice veggies to the avocado and lime mixture.

  4. Enjoy with oven baked tortilla chips.
