lean ground turkey, minced veggies, tomatoes and spices create an easy and yummy pasta sauce!

Recipe Ingredients for Ground Turkey Bolognese Sauce

4 oz bacon
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large white onion
4 celery stalks
6 baby carrots
2 lb 98% lean ground turkey
1/4 cup white wine
56 oz Tomatoes, Crushed, Canned
1 salt and pepper

Recipe Directions for Ground Turkey Bolognese Sauce

  1. mince carrots, celery, onion, and bacon- i just run it all through a food processor or blender.

  2. sautee in oil in a pan (i use my cast iron dutch oven) until soft.

  3. add meat to the sautee and brown

  4. drain fat and add wine

  5. let cook and add crushed tomatoes

  6. let simmer in crock pot or dutch over for a few hours.

  7. serve over roasted spaghetti squash or whole grain pasta!

  8. can be made sans meat and bacon or with lean ground beef and pancetta!
