A new take on cabbage rolls. This is more of a cabbage smothered in ground beef.

Recipe Ingredients for Ground Beef Smothered Cabbage

1/2 head, medium (about 5-3/4" dia) Cabbage
10 oz Mild Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies
10 oz Tomato Puree
1 cup dry Natural Brown Rice
2 lbs. ground sirloin
1/2 cup onion
1/2 cup bell pepper

Recipe Directions for Ground Beef Smothered Cabbage

  1. Brown ground beef.

  2. Add chopped onion and bell pepper and any spices you would like.

  3. Add Rotel and puree.

  4. Chop cabbage and add to turkey mix.

  5. Follow directions on rice and when it is done, add it to the meat/cabbage mix.
