Can be used to fill empandas/pastellios(not sure of spelling) or taco shells or tostadas

Recipe Ingredients for Ground Beef/Picadillo

2 pounds ground beef, I drain and rinse w/hot water
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion
1/4 cup green pepper
1/4 cup red pepper
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp season salt, Lawry
1/4 tsp cumin
1 Black pepper
3 tbsp tomato paste
2 medium potatoes, chopped
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

Recipe Directions for Ground Beef/Picadillo

  1. Sauté the onions, green and red pepper in olive oil in a medium pan. Add the garlic and continue sautéing. Remove from pan and set aside. Add the ground chuck and brown; drain and rinse with hot water. Put back in the pan with along with onion and pepper mix. Seasoned ground chuck with seasoned salt, cumin and black pepper. Add the tomato paste, cilantro, potatoes and water. Cover and cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender and most the water is absorbed. About twenty minutes. Makes about 5 ½ cups

  3. You can add crushed red pepper or cayenne pepper to eat with taco shells.
