Easy TVP patties, with less than 2g fat each!

Recipe Ingredients for Grilled Soy Tasty Patties

125 g Textured Vegetable Protein
70 g onion, chopped
4 g garlic, chopped
16 g Miso
56 g egg
10 g parsley, dry
80 g rye flour
12 g canola oil

Recipe Directions for Grilled Soy Tasty Patties

  1. Rehydrate the tvp as directed.

  2. Add all the other ingredients, season with salt and pepper and mix well.

  3. It might be necessary to adjust the amount of flour, so that patties can be shaped (this will change the food value of course, so take it in consideration).

  4. Put a the canola oil in a little plate and keep your hands oiled up while shaping the patties (this will both help them not to stick to your hands and to the griddle).

  5. Grill on high heat for about 6 minutes on each side.

  6. Note: The weight of each portion does not include the weight of the water added to rehydrate the tvp (this of course does not change the calorie content, as long as you make 12 patties)
