Recipe Ingredients for Grilled Shrimp with hot pepper sauce

9 oz shrimp , deveined
2 tbs olive oil
1 red hot pepper

for the hot pepper sauce:
1 garlic clove
1 tsp hot chili powder
1 tsp paprika
1 pinch of ground cumin
1 cup lime juice
4 tbsp mayonnaise

Recipe Directions for Grilled Shrimp with hot pepper sauce

  1. In a bowl, combine shrimp with 1 tbs if the olive oil and the chili pepper. Toss well to coat, and set aside.

  2. In another bowl, stir togetherr the remaining oil, garlic, chili powder, paprika, cumin, lime and mayo unitl well blended. Taste and season accordingly.

  3. Heat a heavy frying pan or ridged cast-iron grill pan over high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes, turning once, until they turn pink and begin to curl. Serve with the hot pepper sauce, a salad and bread.
