Recipe Ingredients for Grilled Pizza Crusts

5 oz Active Dry Yeast
0.5 tsp Sugars, Granulated
2.5 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
1 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4 tsp Kosher Salt

Recipe Directions for Grilled Pizza Crusts

  1. in a medium bowl, combine yeast, sugar and 3/4 cup warm water

  2. stir once and let stand until foamy (5-10 minutes)

  3. add 2.5 cups of flour, 3 Tbsp. olive oil, and salt

  4. stir until dough holds together

  5. transfer to a lightly floured work surface and knead until smooth (4-6 minutes)

  6. shape into a ball and place in a lightly oiled bowl. Turn ball to cover surface of dough with oil

  7. cover with plastic wrap and set aside in a warm place until doubled in size (1 - 1.5 hours)

  8. punch dough down, transfer to a lightly floured surface and cut into 4 equal pieces

  9. cut parchment paper into 9 inch squares and lightly oil each sheet on one side

  10. roll or press dough flat on oiled side of paper into circles about 8 inches in diameter - leave dough slightly thicker at edges than in middle

  11. lightly oil the top side of dough

  12. lay dough on grill grate with paper side facing up. Remove paper with tongs.

  13. Grill over direct medium heat until marked on underside (3-4 minutes), rotating for even cooking

  14. transfer to the backside of a baking sheet with grilled side up

  15. top with favorite toppings, sauce, cheese transfer back to grill, grill another 4-5 minutes until crust is crisp and cheese is melted

  16. enjoy!
