Grilled Asparagus Recipe

quick and easy to do. add lemon juice or zest if desired.

Recipe Ingredients for grilled asparagus

1 pound fresh asparagus
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 salt and pepper to taste
1 onion powder to taste
1 garlic powder to taste
18 whole mushrooms

Recipe Directions for grilled asparagus

  1. snap tough end of asparagus from the bottom. peel bottom of asparagus stem. cut mushrooms in half lengthwise. place all ingredients in a zip lock bag to marinate 20 minutes or more.

  2. soak 8 thin skewers in water during marinating time. skewer asparagus and mushrooms onto skewers. Grill about 3-5 minutes or until veggies are tender. Or place foil on grill and place asparagus and mushrooms on top so they don't fall through. If you leave out the mushrooms a serving is only 51 calories.
