Fresh green chile sauce -- Bake over chicken or in enchiladas, or pour on your nachos!

Recipe Ingredients for Green Chile - Roasted Garlic Sauce

7 oz Green Chile Peppers
1 serving Poblano pepper, raw
2 1tsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
3 clove Garlic
1/2 serving Cooking Stock
1/4 cup red onion

Recipe Directions for Green Chile - Roasted Garlic Sauce

  1. -Preheat oven to 375.

  2. -Put poblano on a foil lined baking sheet, and drizzle with a tiny bit of oil.

  3. -Wrap garlic cloves in foil. Place on baking sheet with poblano.

  4. -Roast poblano and garlic for 30 minutes, turning the pepper a few times.

  5. -In a bowl, mix rough chopped jalapenos, red onion, 1 can of green chiles, 1/2 cup chicken stock, and 1.5 tsp vegetable oil.

  6. -Remove garlic and poblano from oven. Put the poblano in a bowl covered in seran wrap for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, uncover and remove skin from pepper. Chop the skinned pepper and add to mixing bowl.

  7. -Squeeze softened garlic into mixing bowl.

  8. -Using a immersion blender, puree contents of the mixing bowl. (Leave it chunkier if you prefer.)
