Green Bell Pepper Rice Recipe

It's an easy rice recipe from my mom (who else?).. I have said it serves 3 but it should be good for 2-4 depending on your serving size. You can use bell pepper of any color although it did not go that well with red!

Recipe Ingredients for Green bell pepper rice

2 medium Green Bell Pepper
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 serving Black Mustard Seed
1 large Onions
3 serving Pure Basmati Rice
1 1/2 serving Indian Spices Garam Masala
1 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Green bell pepper rice

  1. Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and let it sputter.

  2. Add onions and salt and 1/2 of garam masala and cook until onions become transparent.

  3. Proceed with the chopped bell pepper and remaining garam masala and cook according to taste (level of crunchiness from pepper)

  4. Add rice and mix well and serve hot.
