green beans with onion, garlic and almonds

Recipe Ingredients for Green Beans

1 lb green beans
4 cloves garlic
1/2 onion
1/4 cup slivered almonds
3 tbs vegetable oil

Recipe Directions for Green Beans

  1. snap beans and remove ends, wash

  2. Boil greenbeans for 6 minutes

  3. Drain and place in large bowl full of water and ice (to blanche)

  4. Sautee onion and 4 cloves of garlic in 3tbs vegetable oil... add greenbeans and slivered almonds.

  5. Cook for 5-7 minutes until desired tenderness.

  6. Season w/pepper to taste.
