For best results, use fresh green beans. Basically, these can be seasoned as you like. Prior to baking add salt and pepper and any other seasoning like dill weed, lemon zest or garlic. Remember that adding seasonings like cheese or nuts will change the nutritional value reported here. However, sometimes, hazelnuts, almonds or some other type of nuts are a great addition.

Recipe Ingredients for Green Beans

1 1/2 pounds green beans
2 tablespoons olive oil

Recipe Directions for Green Beans

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.

  2. Wash the green beans and remove the ends and any brown areas.

  3. Place in a baking dish and cover with the olive oil and your choice of seasoning.

  4. Bake them at 350F for 20 minutes.
