A healthy alternative to the fried green bean fries for those of us on a restricted diet.

Recipe Ingredients for Green Bean Fries (Low fat low salt)

1 lb fresh green beans
1/2 c bread crumbs
2 tsp flour
1/4 c egg substitute
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for Green Bean Fries (Low fat low salt)

  1. Blanch green beans. Drain, sprinkle with flour. Dip in egg substitute, then bread crumbs. Line on a pam sprayed cookie sheet. Sprinkle with the garlic and onion powder and cayenne. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 mins or until crisp.

  2. Dip in light ranch dressing. Or make your own Wasabi Cucumber Ranch Dip.
