Lower fat version of twisted green bean casserole

Recipe Ingredients for Green Bean Casserole

48 oz fresh green beans
1 1/2 cups frozen corn
1 cup fat free yogurt, greek
5 ounces condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 cups Colby Jack Cheese
1 1/2 cups mushrooms, sliced thin
1 cup onion, sliced thin
2 tablespoons butter

Recipe Directions for Green Bean Casserole

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Stir together the yogurt and cream of mushroom soup in a large mixing bowl. Add beans, corn and cheese.

  3. Put into a 2 quart casserole dish (sprayed w/ pam or non-stick oil)

  4. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, until cheese is melted and veggies are tender

  5. Sauté onions and mushrooms in butter until carmalized/nicely browned.

  6. Top casserole w/ onions and mushroom and put in the oven for an additional 10 minutes
