Recipe Ingredients for Great Pumpkin Cookies

2 cups Flour
1 cup Old Fashioned Oats, Uncooked
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Salt
1 cup Butter, Softened
1 cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 cup Solid Pack Pumpkin
1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate

Recipe Directions for Great Pumpkin Cookies

  1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES.

  2. COMBINE FLOUR, OATS, BAKING SODA, CINNAMON, AND SALT.

  3. CREAM BUTTER; GRADUALLY ADD SUGARS, BEATING UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY. ADD EGG AND VANILLA; MIX WELL.

  4. ALTERNATE ADDITIONS OF DRY INGREDIENTS AND PUMPKIN to butter mixture, MIXING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION. STIR IN chocolate MORSELS.

  5. FOR EACH COOKIE, DROP DOUGH ONTO LIGHTLY GREASED COOKIE SHEET.

  6. BAKE 10 TO 12 MINUTES, OR UNTIL COOKIES ARE FIRM AND LIGHTLY BROWNED. REMOVE FROM COOKIES SHEET AND COOL ON RACK.
