YUMMY GRANOLA WITH HIGH SUGAR CONTENT INNOCENTLY COMING FROM THE DRIED FRUIT, NOT THE SWEETENERS. SO THERE.

Recipe Ingredients for Granola (revised from Willa's recipe)

42 oz old fashioned oats
1/4 cup chopped blanched almonds
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup dates, chopped
1/2 cups raisins
1/2 cup dried apricot, chopped
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup water
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp coconut extract

Recipe Directions for Granola (revised from Willa's recipe)

  1. The COCONUT EXTRACT REALLY HELPS. Vanilla, cinnamon or nutmeg works well but with reduced sugar, the coconut adds sweetness.

  2. Mix in large bowl.

  3. Spread in baking dishes

  4. Bake at 225 degrees for one hour

  5. Stir every 15 minutes.

  6. Cool completely.
