Recipe Ingredients for Granola

8 cups oatmeal
1 cup almonds
1 cup pecans
1/2 cup walnuts
1/4 cup cashews
1/4 cup hazelnuts
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1/8 cup flax seed
1/8 cup sesame seeds
3 tbsp wheat germ
3 tbsp bran
3 tbsp cornmeal
2/3 cup molasses
2/3 cup honey
2/3 cup water
2 tsp oil
2 cups raisins
2 cups dried cranberries
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp nutmeg

Recipe Directions for Granola

  1. mix together all the oatmeal, nuts, seeds, spices and salt

  2. in a small pot put molasses, honey, water and oil, heat gently until they combine - DO NOT BOIL

  3. pour over dry mix and stir to coat

  4. spread on two lined cookie sheets

  5. bake for 25-30 minutes at 325, turning 2-3 times to prevent sticking

  6. stir in dried fruit after removing from oven

  7. store in airtight container
