Recipe Ingredients for Granola

120 g maple syrup-1/2c
54 g oil, vegetable-1/4c
1 tsp. cinnamon,ground
240 g rolled oats-3c
120 g walnuts, chopped-1c
120 g sunflower seeds-1c
60 g dark brown sugar-1/4c
2 egg whites
74 g coconut,shredded,sweetened-1c
130 g cranberries,dried-1c

Recipe Directions for Granola

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degreees.

  2. In a small pan over medium heat, whisk together the syrup, oil and cinnamon. Cook until it just bubbles. Remove from the heat and cool slightly.

  3. In a large bowl,add the oats,walnuts,sunflower seeds,brown sugar and a pinch of salt. Pour in the syrup mixture and toss well. In a small bowl, whisk the egg whites to combine. Pour over the granola and toss well. Evenly spread the mixture onto a sheet tray. Bake until golden, turning several times, about 35-40 minutes.

  4. Remove from the oven to a serving bowl and coll. When coll add the remaining ingredients and serve.
