Adapted from "Joy of Cooking" Serving size is 1/4 cup

Recipe Ingredients for Granola

3 cups rolled oats
1 1/2 cup wheat germ
1 cup almonds, coarsely chopped
1 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1 cup sunflower seeds, hulled
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 cup honey

Recipe Directions for Granola

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

  2. Scatter dry ingredients in a 13x9-inch pan and toast about 15 minutes.

  3. Heat oil and honey together in a sauce pan.

  4. Pour oil-honey combination over toasted oats and nuts, stir, toast 15 minutes longer or until ingredients are toasted.

  5. Cool and store in tightly covered container.
