Recipe Ingredients for Granola

4 cups rolled oats
1 cup toasted wheat germ
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup almonds
1/2 cup walnuts
5 tbsp blackstrap molasses
1/3 cup canola oil
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup shredded coconut

Recipe Directions for Granola

  1. heat oven to 250

  2. In mixing bowl combine oats, wheat germ, cinnamon, ginger, sunflower seeds, and nuts.

  3. In small bowl combine molasses, oil, and 1/3 cup water and pour over oat mixture. Stir till well coated.

  4. Spread evenly into 2 baking pans.

  5. Bake stirring every 10 minutes for even cooking until dry and lightly browned, about 45 min. Watch - can burn easily.

  6. Cool to room temp and store in airtight container at room temperature.
