Makes 12 servings



Use as snack or for breakfast. Sprinkle on yogurt, ice cream. May add coconut if desired. Also may use other kinds of nuts (almonds, peanuts, etc.) May substitute cranberries with other dried fruits (raisins, snipped apricots, cherries, etc.) May use maple flavored syrup rather than honey. Each serving is 1/2 cup.

Recipe Ingredients for Granola

2 cups Rolled Oats
1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup sunflower seeds, shelled
1/4 cup toasted wheat germ
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons oil, canola
1 cup cranberries, dried

Recipe Directions for Granola

  1. In a large bowl combine the oats, nuts, coconut (if desired), sunflower seeds, and wheat germ. Stir together honey and cooking oil; stir in oat mixture. Spread evenly in a greased 15x10x1 inch baking pan. Bake in a 300 degree oven for 30-35 minutes or until lightly browned. Stir after 20 minutes

  2. Spread on a large piece of foil to cool, Break into clumps. Sotre in an airtight container for up to 1 week. Or store in freezer bags and freeze up to 2 months.
