My apparently very unhealthy granola

Recipe Ingredients for Granola

3 cups oatmeal
1 cup pecans, chopped
1/3 cup canola oil
1/3 cup light pancake syrup

Recipe Directions for Granola

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. Add all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

  3. Press mixture into a square 1/2 inch thick.

  4. Bake on a cookie sheet until golden brown, approx 30-40 minutes.

  5. Remove to a cooling rack, then break into cereal pieces after it's cooled down.
