Homemade granola recipe from Mike.

Recipe Ingredients for Granola

3 cups old fashioned oats
1/2 cup almonds, slivered
1/2 cup roasted cashews
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup canola oil
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup craisins

Recipe Directions for Granola

  1. Preheat oven to 300 and grease a 15 x 10 jelly roll pan.

  2. Combine oats, nuts, and spices in one bowl.

  3. Combine brown sugar, honey, water, oil and vanilla in another bowl. Mix well, then add to oat mixture. Stir well to coat all oats.

  4. Spread on pan. Bake until toasty brown -- about 60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.

  5. Allow to cool completely, then add dried fruit. Store in an airtight container.
