Recipe Ingredients for Granola (lower fat)

12 cups rolled oats
1 cup wheat germ
2 cup bran
1 cups almonds
1 cup peanuts
1 tsp salt
1/8 cup canola oil
1 1/2 cup honey
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup water
1 cup raisins
1 cup cranberries
1 cup dried apricots

Recipe Directions for Granola (lower fat)

  1. Mix dry ingredients in large mixing bowl.

  2. Measure oil, honey, vanilla and water into 4-cup measuring cup; microwave on high for about 2 minutes.

  3. Stir honey mixture into dry ingredients; transfer to roasting pan.

  4. Bake at 300F for 30-45 minutes, or until toasted, stirring every 15 minutes.
