My version of Nigella's Granola recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Granola Low-Fat

5 cups rolled oats
1 cup whole almonds
1/2 cup flax seeds
1/2 cup wheat bran
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 cup applesauce
1/4 cup agave syrup
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup dried apricots
1/2 cup craisins
1/2 cup dried apples

Recipe Directions for Granola Low-Fat

  1. 1.In a large bowl: mix together oats, almonds, walnuts, flax, bran.

  2. 2.In a large measuring cup: mix agave, honey and brown sugar. Heat in microwave until melted and bubbly. Stir in oil, vanilla and cinnamon.

  3. 3.Pour applesauce on oats mix, followed by honey mix. Stir until completely blended.

  4. 4.Spread into two baking sheets.

  5. 5.Bake at 325 for 30-35 minutes stirring once during cooking.

  6. 6.Remove from oven and mix in chopped fruits.

  7. 7.Press into pan to help clumping. Allow to cool for 2 hours before bagging.
