Makes 20 servings



A modified version of Forget-the-fat Granola receipe in Dr. Phil's cook book. Recipe uses a whole can of Apple Juice concentrate.

Recipe Ingredients for Granola, Homemade

10 cups rolled oats
1 3/4 cups wheat germ
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup walnuts
1/2 cups coconut, unsweetened
3 cups wheat bran
1 cup flax seeds
1/2 cup cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 can, Apple Juice concentrate, undiluted

Recipe Directions for Granola, Homemade

  1. Mix all dry ingredients together in a large bowl.

  2. Set raisins or dates aside

  3. Add Apple Juice concentrate over all

  4. mix well making sure there are no lumps

  5. Spread evenly in 2 cookie sheets

  6. Bake each sheet at 325 degrees, 40 minutes

  7. At 20 minutes remove sheet from oven and remix very thorougly to let the humidity escape. Return to oven for the remaining time.

  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Add the raisins to the batch.

  9. Can be separated into individual portions in small sandwich baggies.
