Recipe Ingredients for Granola Bars

2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup wheat germ
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1/2 cup craisins
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup apple sauce
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Mini Morsels
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Recipe Directions for Granola Bars

  1. Mix dry ingredients together.

  2. Mix wet ingredients together in separate bowl.

  3. Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients. Mix well.

  4. Spray your hand with non-stick cooking spray and press granola bars into a 9x13 baking dish.

  5. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. As soon as the edges turn light brown, remove from oven for moist granola bars.

  6. Cut into servings while still warm.
