A homemade alternative to store bought. Use organic whole grain brown Crispy Rice from Nature's Path to the most nutritious snack

Recipe Ingredients for granola bars

2/3 cup almond butter or other nut butter
1/3 cup honey
1 cup Rice Krispies cereal
1 cup granola
1/2 cup almonds, slivered
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup unsweetened coconut, shredded
1/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for granola bars

  1. Mix almond butter and honey and heat in microwave for 1 minute.

  2. Place dry ingredients in large bowl and stir in heated nut butter and honey.

  3. Press into 8 X 8 inch cake pan lined with aluminum foil. Cool to harden.

  4. Cut in 12 bars and wrap with aluminum foil
