very healthy. Can use different kinds of nuts and dried fruit.

Recipe Ingredients for granola bars

3/4 c of rolled oats
1/4 c chopped almonds
2 tbsp flax seeds
1/2 c whole wheat flour
2 tbsp unsalted sunflower seeds
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c apple sauce
1/2 c packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 c raisins

Recipe Directions for granola bars

  1. preheat oven 350

  2. line 8 in square pan with foil

  3. spread nuts, oats, flax seed and snflwr seed on baking sheet- bake them until lightly toasted stirring once or twice. Remove and cool thoroughly.

  4. combine dry ingredients in sm mixing bowl

  5. combinea.sauce and br sugar in lge mixing bowl. mix until smooth.

  6. stir in egg and vanilla.

  7. stir in dry ingredients until just combined

  8. add raisins

  9. pour batter into prepared baking pan

  10. bake 25-30 min.

  11. let cool completely.

  12. then take out of pan by tinfoil

  13. cut into 16 squares
