Recipe Ingredients for Granola Bars - homemade

1 2/3 cups oats
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup dried apricots
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup peanuts
1/3 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 tbsp margarine
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp water
1/3 cup almond butter

Recipe Directions for Granola Bars - homemade

  1. Preheat oven to 350.

  2. Line a square baking pan with parchment and grease with non-stick spray.

  3. Stir together dry ingredients (chop or pulse lightly in a food processor.)

  4. Melt margarine.

  5. Whisk wet ingredients, except almond butter.

  6. Toss the wet, dry and almond butter until mixture is evenly crumbly.

  7. Press firmly into prepared pan (a piece of plastic wrap helps.)

  8. Bake 30-40 minutes until brown around edges.
