great travel snack, very high fibre, and decent source of protein. (I got this recipe from another site however I did alter it a bit)

Recipe Ingredients for Granola Bar

1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup Grapenuts
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 egg
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup walnuts
200 grams Dried cranberries

Recipe Directions for Granola Bar

  1. mix all dry ingredients in a bowl

  2. in a seperate bowl mix all wet ingredients

  3. mix the contents of the two bowls together

  4. add cranberries and nuts, chopped (for an alternate try dried blueberries, and your favorite chopped nut)

  5. spray tinfoil lined pan (9x9)

  6. bake at 325degrees for 30mins
