Tasty, low-guilt pancakes. Use egg whites or egg beaters in place of whole eggs. These are so easy to prepare - you'll never by a box of mix again! Note about the servings, this makes 14 nice sized pancakes.

Recipe Ingredients for Granny's Whole Wheat Pancakes

1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup honey
2 cups skim milk
2 egg whites
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
1 tbs cinnamon
1 cup bran buds

Recipe Directions for Granny's Whole Wheat Pancakes

  1. Place bran buds and 3/4 cup skim milk in a bowl and set aside to soften.

  2. Meanwhile, in large mixing bowl combine flours, salt, baking powder, cinnamon.

  3. In a microwavable bowl, combine remaining milk and honey. Microwave on high for one minute. Whisk to thouroughly combine.

  4. Stir oil and egg whites into honey mixture.

  5. Add egg mixture and bran buds mixture to flour mixture. Stir just until combined.

  6. Cook on 350 degree griddle, flipping only once during cooking.
