with golden raisins, no black walnuts. Everything possible was done do use "light" or "sugar free" ingredients, to bring this holiday classic into a reasonable munching range of YUM!

Recipe Ingredients for Granny's 'fully loaded' chocolate chip cookies - lower fat, lower sugar

1 c margarine, light
6 tbsp Splenda, brown sugar
3/4 c Splenda
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp water
2 eggs
2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
12 oz chocolate chips, sugar free
15 oz golden raisins
2/3 c black walnuts

Recipe Directions for Granny's 'fully loaded' chocolate chip cookies - lower fat, lower sugar

  1. Beat butter, sugars, egg, water and vanilla until light and fluffy (cream them).

  2. Mix together flour, soda & salt. Blend into the butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and raisins.

  3. Drop from rounded teaspoon 2" apart on greased cookie sheet (USE PAM). (you don't have to but it helps with sticking. I also cover the cookie sheet with aluminum foil before I put the cookies on).

  4. Bake at 350-375 degrees (F) on middle rack of the oven for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
