2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

  1. Preheat oven 375 degrees

  2. melt butter stir in sugar. Add eggs and beat until well blended. Combine buttermilk with baking soda and stir in cornmeal, flour and salt. Pour batter into large muffin tin. Cook for approx. 30 minutes
