My grandmother's corned beef hash, a "wet" hash unlike the normal breakfast hash.

Recipe Ingredients for Grandma's Corned Beef Hash

12 oz corned beef, canned
1 onion, diced
1/2 green pepper, diced
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 lb potatoes, peeled and chopped
2 1/2 cups water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Recipe Directions for Grandma's Corned Beef Hash

  1. Saute onions, green peppers and garlic until translucent.

  2. Add chopped and peeled potatoes

  3. add water to cover potatoes

  4. bring to boil and cook until potatoes are tender

  5. mash potatoes until mostly mashed

  6. add corned beef and mix together until well blended

  7. let it sit for about 5 minutes to heat up the corned beef

  8. salt and pepper to taste
