You can substitute the bananas for two cartons of strawberries or a mix of fruits.

Recipe Ingredients for Grandma's Banana Bread

1 cup sugar
3 bananas, ripe and mashed
1/2 cup margarine
2 cups flour
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp water

Recipe Directions for Grandma's Banana Bread

  1. Cream margarine and sugar

  2. Stir in eggs and bananas

  3. Sift in dry ingredients

  4. Add vanilla and water

  5. Pour into prepared loaf pan

  6. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until tester comes out clean
