1 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
2 1/3 cups water
1 pinch of salt
1 medium apple, coarsely grated
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon butter

Recipe Directions for Grandma Louise?s Oatmeal with Grated Apple

  1. 1. Combine the oatmeal, water and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil.

  2. 2. Add the grated apple and lemon juice and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
