Recipe Ingredients for Grandma Lorraine's Hot Dish

12 ounce egg noodles
2 cans tomato soup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 stalks chopped celery
1 medium onion chopped
1 lb extra lean ground beef
1/2 cup water

Recipe Directions for Grandma Lorraine's Hot Dish

  1. Brown ground beef in pan until nearly cooked through

  2. add chopped celery & onion and saute until soft

  3. In the meatime boil noodles untill al dente (should be slighlty undercooked, drain)

  4. Mix soup with brown sugar and soy sauce until blended and poor over the ground beef, celery & onions. Add small amounts of water to desired thickness (think spaghetti sauce) and add noodles to pan, simmer covered for 15 minutes stirring as needed (noodles will cook in the sauce which adds more flavor)

  5. This is even better sometimes reheated the next day
