Recipe Ingredients for Grand Beach Creole Sauce

4 tbsp Bay Leaf, large whole
1 1/2 tsp oregano, ground
1 tsp white pepper, ground
1 tsp red pepper, cayenne ground
1 tsp paprika, sweet ground
1 tsp black pepper, ground
1 tsp thyme, ground
1 tsp basil, ground
8 tbsp unsalted butter
2 cups tomato, coarsely chopped skinless
1 1/2 cups onion, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups green pepper, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups celery, finely chopped
12 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 1/2 cups chicken stock, low sodium
3 cups tomato sauce
1 tsp tabasco

Recipe Directions for Grand Beach Creole Sauce

  1. Melt butter over medium heat.

  2. Add Tomato and onion and saute till onions are translucent.

  3. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.

  4. Lower to a simmer and cook for 1 hour till fully mixed.

  5. Remove whole bay leafs

  6. Optional - add 1 tsp of sugar or 2 pkg of splenda

  7. Optional - Add additonal salt to taste
