Recipe Ingredients for Graham Crackers

1 1/4 cups cake flour
1 1/4 cups bread flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
6 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup water

Recipe Directions for Graham Crackers

  1. Preheat the oven to 325.

  2. Combine the flours, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a dough hook. With the mixer on medium, gradually add the butter, honey, vanilla, and water, mixing just until combined.

  3. On a foured surface, roll out the dough into a 1/8-inch-thick rectangle. Using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife, cut the dough into 1 x 2-inch rectangles. Arrange the crackers 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets and prick with a fork.

  4. Bake until the edges are lightly browned, 6 to 8 minutes. Cool the crackers on the baking sheets on wire racks. Graham crackers can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature.
