Recipe Ingredients for Gracious Goodness Chicken Marsala

8 oz boneless, skinless chicken breast
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup Marsala
8 oz baby portabello mushrooms
1 pinch salt and pepper

Recipe Directions for Gracious Goodness Chicken Marsala

  1. Season chicken with salt & pepper.

  2. Melt better and add oil in large skillet. When hot, add chicken and brown on both sides for 5 minutes.

  3. Add onion, mushrooms and brown 2 minutes more.

  4. Reduce heat.

  5. Add water, cover, and simmer 20 minutes or until tender.

  6. Add Marsala and simmer another 10 minutes.

  7. If necessary, add more water.

  8. Serve over rice or noodles (add calories for these).
