Recipe Ingredients for Goulash in Marinara Sauce

1 cup onion, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. chopped garlic
1 tbsp. olive oil
58 oz. basil, garlic, and oregano diced tomatoes
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
1/4 cup fresh basil, snipped
2 tsp. sugar
6 oz. elbow macaroni
16 oz. ground turkey

Recipe Directions for Goulash in Marinara Sauce

  1. In medium saucepan, cook onion and garlic in hot oil over medium heat until onion is tender. Stir in undrained tomatoes, salt, cayenne pepper and black pepper.

  2. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 25 to 30 minutes or until desired consistency, stirring occasionally.

  3. While simmering sauce, brown the ground turkey and cook macaroni, according to package directions. Drain macaroni.

  4. When sauce is at desired consistency, stir in basil and sugar. Cover; cook 5 minutes more.

  5. Stir turkey and pasta into sauce.
