Made with another cruciferous (rather than cabbage) -- this is a "superfood" slaw.

Recipe Ingredients for Good Eats Broccoli Slaw

2 lbs broccoli
12 oz cherry tomatoes
3 T fresh basil
5 oz hazelnuts
3 hard boiled eggs
2 T white wine vinegar
2 T lemon zest
3 T lemon juice
1 1/2 T Dijon mustard
2 t kosher salt
1/4 t black pepper
1/4 c olive oil

Recipe Directions for Good Eats Broccoli Slaw

  1. Makes 10 x 2/3c servings.

  2. Prepare dressing by mixing all ingredients but olive oil, then slowly drizzeling in oil.

  3. Wash broccoli and slice thin with a mandolin, then chop to shorter pieces of very thin veg. Toss with dressing and chill for 1 hour.

  4. Slice tomatoes and eggs, chiffonade basil, finely chop hazelnuts, and grate eggs through a large grate.

  5. Combine all ingredients and chill for another 1/2 hr, then serve as a crisp, green side dish.
