Recipe Ingredients for Goldielocks' Whole wheat Oatmeal Pancakes

3 bananas
1 1/2 cups oats
1/4 cup shortening
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 1/2 cups milk
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons baking powder

Recipe Directions for Goldielocks' Whole wheat Oatmeal Pancakes

  1. Mash the over-ripe bananas.

  2. Add the oats, sugar, salt, 2 cups milk, and shortening.

  3. Microwave for 5 minutes.

  4. Stir and let cool to near room temperature. (Go on a morning walk)

  5. Add beaten eggs.

  6. Add flour and baking powder.

  7. Add remaining milk as needed for desired batter consistency.

  8. Cook on griddle heated to medium heat.
