Recipe Ingredients for Golden Pilaf

1 tbl vegetable oil
1 onion (chopped)
1 cup rice
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric (and 1 bay leaf)
1 pinch cinnamon
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for Golden Pilaf

  1. In a saucepan, heat oil over medium heat

  2. add onion and cook till soft

  3. Stir in rice, salt, turmeric, bay, cinnamon, and broth

  4. stir in raisins with a fork

  5. simmer until stock is absorbed ~ 15min

  6. set aside covered for 5 min
