1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
2 carrots
2 cloves garlic
8 cups water
1 pound split peas
1/3 cup barley
2 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Recipe Directions for Golden Curried Pea Soup

  1. Saute onion over medium-low heat until golden.

  2. Add all ingredients and simmer until split peas are done. Salt and pepper to taste.
