Recipe Ingredients for Goat + Skim Yoghurt

20 grams Freeze-Dried Yogurt Starter
4 serving goat milk, whole, Happy Day Dairy
12 serving Skim Milk Fat Free

Recipe Directions for Goat + Skim Yoghurt

  1. Sterilize canning jars in oven, over 250 degrees, start them off before anything else. Boil a kettle of water, add to blue thermos thing. Boil water to sterilize canning lids. Sterilize milk pot by boiling water in it first. Put that water into the blue thermos thing.

  2. Next, add milk to pot, and on low heat, raise temperature slowly to almost boiling. Stir carefully. The slower this process, the thicker the yoghurt will be, as moisture evaporates.

  3. When ready, allow the milk to cool to temperature suggested on the yoghurt maker.

  4. Stir in yoghurt powder, carefully blending. Then quickly put in hot bottles from oven, cover with canning lids, and put on ring tops as fast as possible. Add bottles to thermos full of hot water, put on lid, and leave for at least 12 hours.
