Make after work in less than one hour. Leftovers are even better after a couple of days in the fridge and reheated! Calories reflect 1/2 c. serving.

Recipe Ingredients for Go-To Chili

1 lb ground beef, 80/20
28 oz canned whole tomatoes
15 oz canned pinto beans
1 T chili powder
1 t cumin
1 t cocoa
1 t garlic powder
1 t oregano
1 t salt

Recipe Directions for Go-To Chili

  1. Brown ground beef, drain and then rinse in a colander under hot water to remove fat.

  2. Return beef to pot and stir in seasonings. Add whole tomatoes and with a potato masher break up tomatoes. Bring to a boil then simmer on medium heat for 30 minutes.

  3. Stir in pintos and heat until hot. Serve straight up or with your favorite toppings (cheese and/or sour cream).
