Gluten free lasagne (use GF pasta in place of normal sheets). Rice flour can be replaced with plain flour if not GF.

Recipe Ingredients for Gluten free lasagne

2 1tsp Olive Oil
2 tbsp chopped Onions
1 clove Garlic
2 tbsp Peppers, Sweet, Green
4 medium Mushrooms
1 medium Carrots
2 tsp Homestyle Stock
400 grams Tomatoes
1 oz Tomato Puree
2 oz Cheddar Cheese
2 oz(28 g) Lasagna
1 cup Milk, Lowfat, Fluid, 1% Milkfat
5.573 oz Rice Flour, White

Recipe Directions for Gluten free lasagne

  1. Heat oil in pan. Fry onions, peppers until soft. Add mince and brown. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Add chopped tomatoes, puree, garlic, herbs, carrot, mushrooms and stock (chuck in a splash of red wine if you want too).

  3. Simmer while making the cheese sauce.

  4. Put butter, rice flour and milk in a small pan.

  5. Heat, bring to the boil, stirring constantly until sauce thickens.

  6. Take off heat and stir in most of the cheese and season with salt and pepper.

  7. In a lasagne dish, layer meat sauce, cheese sauce alternately with pasta separating them (usually 2 layers of each sauce). Finish with cheese sauce as top layer, then sprinkle rest of cheese on top. Bake in oven at gas mark 7, 220 deg centigrade for 30 mins or until lasagne is soft, then serve.
